Background

Charlotte was among the first Mexican artists to dedicate herself to the handpan, building a career as performer, teacher and sound therapist. She works under the artist name Lotty’s Flower and has released a series of elemental compositions — Tierra (Blooming Shadows), Agua (Ocean Waves), Aire (Butterflies Dance) and Fuego (Talking with the Fire).

How she works

Sound baths are handpan-led, with chimes and voice woven through; classes meet students at all levels and include guidance on choosing an instrument. At festivals and retreats she pairs the handpan with meditation and sound-healing frames.

Where to find her

Workshops appear annually at Tierra de los Muertos in Oaxaca and at other gatherings around Mexico. Class schedules, recordings and bookings live on charlottetames.com and her Instagram (@lottysflower).
